WordPress Tutorial

I am a firm believer in keeping up on new technology and learning the ropes of many different types of programs.

WordPress, because I am new, has me stumped.  I found this great free video tutorial that takes you through WordPress step by step.  It has helped me understand the ins and outs of the program, for the most part, and I hope that when my website is done, it will show in quality of the end product.  I hope this video will help you as much as it has helped me!

Thanks for reading!

My New and Upcoming Hobby

I want to take up sewing, yes sewing. I have always thought of sewing as an "Old Maid" hobby. Oh well...call me an Old Maid, because I really like it. This past Saturday, my new friend Melissa, went with me to find a suitable sewing machine for this newbie. We then went to the fabric store to pick out our patterns for our table runners. Honestly, it was exhausting and a little expensive, but I am confident I will be able to make some good stuff!

So, Melissa was gracious enough to sit with me for 3 hours to start me on sewing! I have never been much of a crafty person, although I want to be. So my first project was to make a table runner for Thanksgiving. I can never find them as long as I would like, so I thought what an easy project to start.

Making the runner proved to be a great training project. I still need to do some stitching on it, but I am pretty proud of the results!

I Am Back, Did You Miss Me?

Since I posted last, my husband and I have been to Cabo San Lucas.  It was so beautiful, the weather perfect and the company FANTASTIC!!!

We stayed at the RIU Palace, which was amazing.  A little far from town if you want to walk to town on the beach, but totally worth it.

The scenery in Cabo is spectacular, the beaches gorgeous and the water was probably 85°, if not warmer.  My husband snorkled and saw some amazing fish, I was too freaked out to snorkel, so I just hung out on the beach and looked for shells.

Our next adventure is to San Diego to visit my family.  I wish we could stay longer then we are, but I am grateful we have the opportunity to go at all.

Hope everyone is ready for Fall and the holidays to come!

Until next time...keep it real!
